4l80 yoke and riveshaft question
Yes i read the stickies and i didnt see or read about the drive shaft. i read about how to 4l80 has all types of differtent yokes, so my question is what driveshaft should i run? or can i just take my t56 drive shaft and add the correct yoke? it is going into a 98 camaro that was a t56 car

Not from experience but I would think you need to have the yoke for the 4l80e your going to run and possibly get a conversion u joint and then have your drive shaft cut to the correct length.

The exact yoke will depend upon the specific 4L80E you get.
Beyond that, perhaps someone that has performed a T56 to 4L80E conversion can tell you if you need a shorter/longer driveshaft.

You need to know what output shaft the transmission has.
You can typically use the existing driveshaft with a yoke change.
We machine the output shafts as necessary when we build them. Most shops aren't savvy enough to know to do this and many don't have a lathe to do it with.
There are other solutions but first take the tailhousing off and post a pic of the output shaft.
