Hello, my name's James, I recently bought 4.8 truck motor out of a '99 Sierra with intentions to put into a 3rd gen Camaro. The motor will be mild as I am building it as I have the money--still looking to get 400hp out of it though as I understand that's fairly easy and sort of cheap to do with these size engines. I had wanted an aluminum block LS1 but the price was so good on the 4.8 I had to pick it up. Plans for now: Crane roller rockers, new pushrods, LS6 cam, LS6 intake manifold/tb fuel rails, LS3 beehive springs, headers, and some mild porting around the valves. I still need a computer and harness for it. In the future I'd like to bore it out to a 327, put a more aggressive cam than the LS6, replace the bottom end with lighter parts, blah blah money money. I joined the forum to get help, parts, advice and encouragement.. I guess. If you've got any of the parts listed above, hit me up! I'm in West Michigan. I'll also need help with everything else as I go along. Thanks
