Default Question about Universal joints

I just recently install a Torque Converter. The car is running fine. It's shifting good. When I was putting back the Drive shaft my dad told me about the Universal joints and if they were bad they'd give me a rough ride. Well, since then, I've noticed the car running pretty rough. There aren't any rattles and the car isn't shaking bad. The ride is rough though. Could that be it?? Or is it the stall?

Running pretty rough? You need to be a little more specific so we can try and help. Idle is rough? Car is sluggish, you have to really push down on the pedal to get the car moving? Little more info.

Ok, here's the problem. I'll be driving and when I'm going about 55 or 60, the car starts to shake a bit... as if I'm driving on gravel. Not TOO much. AND when I'm coming to a stop the RPMs dip down pretty low. As if the car wants to turn off. At night the lights dim A LOT. But after driving the car for a while this problem goes away. Is that an alternator/battery problem??

Converter may make the idle unstable (less of a
flywheel effect). Alternator on these cars is pretty
marginal at low RPM, close to (or past) dropout of
regulation.

A MPH-specific vibration -could- be U-joints, but
more likely a change in pinion angle from new trans
tail mount, or bad tires, etc. Your U-joints did not
magically go bad across a TC install. They might
have been sloppy enough, to begin with, that they
expose some other issue that did come in.
