Default 1982 Fairmont Futura Front Mount Turbo Project

Year: 1982
Make: Ford
Model: Fairmont
Price: $5000
Mileage: 100000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MA
Color: Beige
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

This car is the PERFECT canvas for a super mean sleeper.

1982 Ford Fairmont Futura
-Extremely clean foxbody. Nice torque boxes, clean rails, good floors.
-Tons of surface patina on the paint, really looks awesome. Would benefit from a fresh coat of clear to keep it looking this mint.
-Burgandy vinyl bucket seats (small tear on drivers side bolster), console shift car.
-All steel, full interior, no weight reduction (aside from the saging headliner and spare tire junk).

The chassis is setup for a front mounted T6 turbo behind the grill, LS based motor and C4 transmission. All of the hard fabrication is done! Motor is in the car and is centered on the foxbody offset driveline.

-1/2" thick 6061 front motor plate (integrated o-ring ports for remote water pump)
-JW C4 to SBC SFI Ultra bellhousing
-Custom solid chromoly transmission crossmember
-Flipped, modified and v-bdanded truck manifolds
-304 Stainless 2" front mounted hot side (fully divided into the turbine) with bellows
-Twin tial 38s and dumps
-Chromoly turbo support with integrated -10 drain
-5" Fender exit (turn down hidden inside fender apron

Everything on this hot-side is top-notch. Vibrant v-bands, Vibrant bellows, 304SS tubing, 1/2" divided flange, 304SS dump tubes. The modified manifolds come in from under the motor plate, and lay nice and low. It's absolutely beautiful to look at.

Engine:
-Low Mileage 2002 LS1
-317 heads & ARP Bolts
-Dual Springs & Comp Gold Rockers / pushrods
-Custom comp turbo cam
-F-body Oil pan
-V-banded truck manifolds
**Intake in photos not included**

I am selling the car unfinished just the way it sits, however I would be willing to finish the car in the customers direction if that's the route you would like to pursue.

As of right now, off the top of my head, car still needs...
-fabricated cooling system
-fuel system plumbed
-cold pipe fabricated
-converter built for motor/ trans combo
-rear end swap (to the included 8.8)
-driveshaft
-wiring
-misc odds and ends

Overall, it wouldnt take a ton to finish the car. All the hard fabrication is done, and it is all top notch work done in house. I just don't want to put any more money into it and not be able to sell and recoup. I would rather finish it, or recoup what I have into it now.

Lots of extra parts included:
-3.08 8.8 posi rear end
-Custom poly/ braced rear control arms
-Spherical housing bushings
-Brand new kyb replacement shocks and struts
-Brand new TV4502 turbo (pictured)
-Comp Sumped stock fuel tank
-etc etc

If you ar interested in taking over the project, I am asking for 5k just the way it sits. Clean title in my name ready to rock.

If you want me to finish the car and make it turn-key...we can talk.

Either way, get in touch via calls or text @ 413-455-9795

This thing would make a really badass 235 radial car or mean street machine. Still all steel, stock k-frame and etc. Lots of weight can be dumped and the overall direction could be taken to all out race or really mean street at this point.

5,000 obo trades considered

Would love to own if finished. Why in the heck a C4? Why not back it up with a much better gm trans (glide/400)?

Few offers, but no deals! Keep them coming. Lots of parts not listed that can be negotiated into the deal.

Would depend on how you want it completed. I'm sure your vision of completed would differ quite a bit from mine. If you are serious, feel free to PM. Thanks.

Bump.
