Newbie needs advise engine harness I have a 5.3l, (it's the l33) ,I recently bought an auto transmission (4l60e) from a 99 trans am,but was wondering what harness to use and pcm , next step is getting the ls1/ls6 intake manifold. Thanks

wiring depends on if you want to run drive by wire or cable throttle. Did you get a harness with your 5.3? Pcm computor? If running DBW you need gas pedal/tach box and wiring harness between the 2. I just sent my 06 pcm to Brendan at LT1 Swap.com for programming. He programmed my pcm as a 05 because that way I could use my pedal/tach box that were from a 05 model truck. Look up stuff for wiring on his site as its very helpful. You can modify a factory harness yourself if take your time/ask ? when need help.

I would suggest a car harness since they lay down on engine alot better than a truck harness. If your open to tear it all apart and extend wires and stuff then just get whatevers cheaper. 2004 and older is dbc, 2004.5 iirc and newer is dbw. Truck harness truck computer and vice versa with car harness.
