Just like the title says I need quieter gears. I'm running an off brand because I ran short on money putting this thing together but I'm now ditching the spool ( I hate them in a m6 car) for a s-trac or wave trac so now is the time to upgrade these as well. So thoughts on brands? Yukon? Motive blue box? Strange? Moser? I don't feel like wasting money lol. And yes the back lash was set correctly on the first setup.

I have Yukon 3.73 they told me they were the quietest. Also running the s trac. I didn't want a spool either. The gears wine a bit but not to bad. I don't think any gear is perfectly quiet.

Motive and US Gear are generally a good quiet gear. Aftermarket gears in general are going to have a little noise, as they are designed for strength. Bob

i use a set of Motive gears and have had no issues. they have been abused and held up great and make minimal noise

Anybody ever tried factory ford gears in their fab 9's?

i have used factory ford on ALOT of 8.8's they work great also on a standard big bearing 9in with no issues...i only went aftermarket for power reasons and its just easier to order exactly what you want

I'm pretty sure I have Yukon gears in it. Can't quite remember since I ordered from MWC but it's like an airplane in the car it's so loud. I'm wearing ear plugs it's that loud. I've since parked the car until I can figure out this year situation. So thanks for your input.
