1996 4l80e transgo hd 2 kit
just swapped in a new motor 6.0l ls in my 2000 2500 6.0l with a rebuilt trans
the trans is a 1996 4l80e with rebuild, new solenoids,hd2 shift kit did it myself all went good got them both in truck fired it topped up all fluids went for a burn ran great, shifted good in and out of all gears fine but when I come to a red light and sit for the green and I go to take off it slips and shutters and the revs jump to 2000-2200rpm before it moves
but it doesn't do it all the time maybe every other light
I had to shorten one line to fit the 1996 4l80e from 97-up 4l80e
if I have the pressure and return lines switched would that give me bad line pressure with the trans

its also building up heat just driving easy
like its not going to the coolers but I have flow from trans though the coolers back to the trans
the flow out the line is not steady, it shoots the fluid out then it comes out in a steady flow like its low on pressure it does that on and off

would a bad epc solenoid cause any problems
I changed the boost valve with the one in the kit but I cant remember if I put the washer back in(hope I did cant find it so) will that cause this issue

got a line pressure tester today and the line pressure jumps around from 70-30-90psi and so on in drive and the other gears
its slipping more in first gear and reverse,
when I put it in reverse it goes in smooth but I have to rev it to 2500rpm to start to move then it shudders till its moving same as first gear taking off from stop
it stalled the engine to day at red light too

It sounds like you are either low on fluid or the filter is pluggd or not making a good seal at the case.
Add a couple of qts and see if it helps. That's for diagnosis, you've already cooked the band and clutches so once you resolve your problem, pull it out, rebuild it, and start over.

these are the pump gears
the big one doesn't have any dots on it what so ever and there still in spec at .002/.003
need some help on how to set these right
do have the old 4l80e to pull the gears from
