What injectors and pump for 408 NA build.
I am finishing up my 408 here shortly and about ready to drop it in the car. disregard my signature of 200 shot. I have a stand alone fuel cell up front and pump dedicated for nitrous fuel supply. Here's the motor specs:
408 cubic inch iron block
TEA ported 245 heads
custom cam
ported super victor intake
accufab 4150 TB
12.5:1 compression
110 race fuel
Guessing 600-700 flywheel horsepower
The car has the old stuff in it from the stock head/cam motor. racetronix/walburro 255 pump and 36lb injectors. I know this will not work. What size injectors are required for this new motor? I've heard 42's will get me by then I've heard I need 60's... as far as the pump I was recommended if I want to stay stock lines and stock gas tank I should do a Lonnies performance dual 255 pumps intank. Is there a single pump that will work for me?

134 people have viewed this thread and no one knows anything! this place isn't what it used to be for help lol.
I stopped in at Speed Inc when I was in the area and they recommended 60lb injectors and an Aeromotive 340 pump to be safe, which is not a direct replacement. I have heard of a few guys posting on here they pushed the 255 pump I have to over 600@ the wheels. I know it's not recommended, but anyone have any experience with this? It would be great to not even have to change my pump.

42 lb injectors are big enough. No advantage at all to too much injector. a 42lb injector at 60 psi is a 48lb injector. I'm making 600 with 36lb FAST injectors at 60psi, which makes them 42lb . If you know it is going to make about 600 fwhp, 42lbs running at LS fuel pressure (58 to 60 psi) are plenty.
