I think this approach is fraught with trouble, frustration and unexpected expenses.
Why not just do it the right way:
1. Purchase a 4L60E harness and pin it into your PCM connector. I think Speartech makes one for about $200 and includes the directions.
2. While you could get the PCM reflashed to switch it from M6 to A4, it is likely cheaper to buy a used PCM. I just bought several from ebay seller "spareecm" for $89 who will pre-program it at that price for your VIN, transmission type and a few other details and options.
This will give you a fully operating 4L60E, which besides being more convenient will also increase the resale value of your car when that time comes.

I agree with mrvedit it would be just as easy to wire your PCM up to shift the car as it would to install the TransGo kit and then buy or make up something to control your TCC. With the TransGo kit if I’m not mistaken you will always have the manually shift your car.
If you have the time and ability you could get the whole trans harness and PCM plug from a u pull it yard and use that to add all of the trans wires to the harness on your car. It’s just a matter of unpinning the wires form the junk yard PCM plug and plugging it into the same spot on your car’s PCM plug. It’s not hard just tedious. Then just have your PCM flashed.

If you remove and block the hole in the 1-2 shift solenoid you will be able to manually select 2nd third and 4th gear. You will not be able to select first gear , Also note if the trans already has a transgo kit in it it will apply like brakes are on with an attempt at a manual low 1 shift. However if not you will simply start in second as you are now and be able to select 3rd and 4th gear which may help some till you do your swap at least you will have 2-3-4 to drive around in.
