Question LS1 oil passage plug

Anyone making a better mousetrap for the rear oil passage plug? I hear rumors of the plugs backing out, dumping oil back into the pan, and ultimately toasting the lower end.
I saw a "Chevy Rumble" article about modding the rear engine cover to keep the plug from backing out. Makes sense but I wonder if there is a better way.
Anyone? Thanks for the help.
