They trap around 105mph which is basically what a stock LS1 fbody will do.

...and based on the mods in your sig, you're car wouldn't trap a whole lot more.

It says 105 in his sig. And his car may be "torquier" than the GTO. Not necessarily faster though.

I raced a modded 5.0 stang that runs low 13s beat him first race he beat me second race, my GTO bone stock down to the paper filter. So be dissapointed all you like but 5.0 was the benchmark of performance cars. My impression, very practicle car with performance. For the same price as a grand prix GTP or a Camry XLE you get twice the car.

They are growing on me. If I had the money I would buy one.

Peace,
Craig.

Numbers show that your modded Z may be a tic quicker - but you should have similar potential w/ the GTO. Did you consider that the refinement of the interior made it 'seem' like you didn't have the same punch?
Just curious - I certainly understand that we can't all like the same thing, and god it'd be boring if we did.

Curious. The GTO has a better version of the LS1 than your Z does eg. LS6 intake manifold, a true dual exhaust system, LS6 block casting, and the better ratio'd, and quicker, LS6 transmission (M12 I think).

The only thing that would make your car feel faster is your 3 or 400 lb. weight advantage.

That said, unlike my girlfriend, I am not fond of the body style of the GTO. BUT with the front and rear-end of the Holdens I think they look sweet.

Interior is on a par with BMW's.

I really like the GTO even though it doesn't have the in your face looks. If I had the money for one now, I would not buy one.. I would just wait and see what GM decides to do with it. There has to be a more aggressive GTO in the near future. And the way the sales are lagging I'm sure GM will do something about it.
