Default Those who have driven/owned both a Yank SS4000 and PT4000 converter

I've had a PT4000 in my car for a few years now and I'm starting to get a little tired of the looseness on the street with my 3.73's. I'm thinking of having it restalled to an SS4000 in hopes of the street driving being a hair tighter without losing much if any performance. Theoretically, it should be a little tighter with the higher STR 2.6 vs. 2.2. If you have owned both converters or driven a car with both converters please share your real-life street driving impressions.

Did a lot of searching but could not find anyone who ran and commented on both, so I appreciate the experiences before I pull the trans out and get this in motion.

I currently have a PT4000 also with 3.73's. My brother has a SS4000 with 3.73's as well.

My bro and I have nearly the same modifications too. From my experience with the PT it does seem a tad bit looser compared to his SS. My shift extensions seem to be closer together in the higher rpm range (that could be tuning though). I love my PT and hits hard off the line. I'm switching to 3.89 gears so maybe that might "tighten" up the feel of the PT converter.

I want to spray down the road also, and I talked to Dave at Yank about it. He said a SS3600 would be my way to go but I love having a 4k stall lol.
