I think the c5 z06 might handle better than the c6 but power wise, I think the c6 beats it. Here is a engine dyno graph I found comparing the ls2 to the ls6. I like that torque curve on the ls2.

C6 will be smaller and lighter, combine that with more than
30 more TQ@midrange (according the the graph) its a no brainer.
I still don't know for sure what the deal with the Z07? is, I don't
think its been confirmed and GMHTP reports all sorts of things
(ls1 monte,grand prix) but claim a 427 with 575hp. Now GM has stated
that the Z07? will beat the new Viper and depending on what it and other
do in response they have contermeasures to blow away all known supercars.
Thats what they said whether that means Enzos and such who knows.
That's the "super6" that has been speculated about and will run well over
6 figures. Even the regular Z07 will be substanially more expensive if its
going to have its own motor(not just upgraded like LS6), figure Viper range.
Rumor is the Super6 will be a blown version of that.

I am not to sure about the special models the blue devil or the super6...everytime a new corvette has come out there have always been rumors of a super vette, I am not holding my breath but it would be very sweet if GM actually went through with it...but with the numbers on the new zo6 with the ls7, are good enough that they won't need to make them...i am positive that the new Z06 will hang with the Ford GT. Might not beat it but its still one that I would like to own. And the super6/blue devil is supposedly a 7.0 liter turbo charged engine that will and can blow anything off of the road. That's what I have heard around the dealership anyways.

Well no disrespect but 99.9% of dealerships know nothing other
than what they are currently selling. Yes, the rumors always fly,
but when have there been so many 400hp cars out there. Remember
when we were one of the few 300hp cars. What I'm trying to say is
there is a real HP war going on and I doubt they will let the vette get
swallowed up by some new kid on the block. The new 6 series BMW has
a 500 hp model.
