does a TBSS use the same converter (are they a direct exchange) with a LS1 4l60e? Reason why, I ran across someone selling a new Yank SS converter that be bought for his TBSS and is now selling for a good price. Thanks

Yes they are the same, my yank 3600 is actually out of my buddies tbss due to him doing a 4l80 swap

Yes it will fit, all 4L60/65/70 LS style converters are interchangeable - except the Corvette. My question is why are you changing it? It is the same 300mm that is in the 98-02 F-Body. No advantage performance wise. If you are looking for a stock replacement to get you going, then you are good to go.

EDIT - Reread your post... yes the Yank will work. Thought you were asking about the OE converter.
