Default Which drive shaft

When I bought my 1998 roller TA it was missing the drive shaft. I understand that I can use a factory one with my 4l80e. Does it matter if it comes out of a v6 car ?? I know I will need to change the yoke out. So which one, steel or aluminum and why ?? Thanks, David

I'd just upgrade to a 3.5" aluminum or a 3" chromoly aftermarket piece. Then you can get exactly what you want and something pretty beefy.

I went with a 3.5" aluminum and it's a great piece from The Driveshaft Shop. PST also makes a great one.

I do have a 3" stock LS1 for sale if you need it. It's better than the 2.75" LT1 steel one.

All stock shafts are junk. Buy a good built one and if budget is tight go with steel or chromoly.

I have a Strange 3" chromoly with 1350's and a 32 spline yoke for a 4l80e. 40" long from center to center of u-joints. Worked perfect with a 12 bolt. $225

Right now I am running the stock rear end. Just wanted something to get it moving.
