Default New cam is in, biggest cam ever in a stock bottom end?

Finished up the new cam install and am doing to tuning right now. This thing sounds absolutely insane...like a Pro Stock or something. Specs are:

252/258 .592/.592 114lsa +1

I've done some initial driving tests and there's no mistaken this cam is friggin massive. Absolutely dead below 4000rpm, but after that, GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!! Top end pull is ridiculous, right now I'm shifting it at 7300 but it still wants to pull after that I can tell. Looks like my LS1 is finally going to give my old LT1's times a run for their money! WOOOOHHOOOOOOO!!!!

Oh, and I also worked on the heads a little more, they ended up kicking *** on the flow bench, we'll see how they do for horsepower and ET, I've never been a big flow bench believer anyway. They did flow really well though, 308 at .600", looks like I'm finally learning what I'm doing on these LS1's

They are 5.7L heads and I did not have to relief the pistons to fit them with the way I set the valves back in the seats. I had the clearance calculated for me and when I double checked it with clay the guy that did it was only .002" off. Pretty damn accurate!

You may want to build up that bottom end asap! We just took out an LS1 yesterday that had been rev'ed to over 7,000. It WAS NOT PRETTY. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/176919-pulled-engine-out-today.html

I have a built bottom end sitting in the garage so no worries. I know that the stock bottom can't hold up to this RPM, but I'm interested as to what kind of power a cam this large will make on stock cubic inch. I have a 385 stroker ready to go...

Beast, why am I getting the thumbs down? Intimidated?

Since the heads were ported by myself I'm not worried about taking them out in the process of learning since nobody else seems to think that this cam can make power with stock cubic inch. I'll tell you right now though, this thing would kick the **** out of my old cam, which wasn't a baby cam either. Driveability has definitely suffered but it's actually not as bad as most people would think. I've tuned it to run open loop all the time now, thanks to about 8 hours of wideband tuning, but there's still more work to do.

Didn't do any research? If you want to be taken to cam school, I'll be your busdriver, teacher, and principal

sbrown99TA - Are you going to run the bottle on that cam or have you already? I bet that top end is insane Hopefully that stock block doesn't let go and mess up your cam with it

Yes, this cam was designed with the bottle in mind...really that's all I wanted was bottle performance. Not too worried about hurting this cam, since IF the bottom end lets go, I already have another cam for the 385, and yes, it's larger than this cam.
