to beat it in what? a roll, the strip, autocross, ect? all you need is a stock t/a or camaro to beat a vette at the strip. some bolt ons would wring in a zo6.

i would say if you are a dam good driver, and the cobra didnt have much more than an average driver, it would be very possible to beat an 03 cobra with just bolt-ons.

I understand that the vette and f-body cars have the same engine but why wouldnt they vette win? Isnt it lighter and have a few extra things done to it stock?

come on with a poor driver maybe.

I love f-body's and it is my current car of choice but I also owned Vettes before.

My vette with a nittoe 555's (Non Drag Radials) and an aftermarket airbox. (and Andy exhaust bypass)

went 12.44@115
I never had an f-body come close to my basically stock times.

BTW the car in question was a 99 hardtop vette. times were ran in Bowling Green.

the Z06's are fast as heck......... if you know how to drive, I've walked a few but after test driving one I know that the driver's must suck, I put that thing through the ringer and its very impressive, I think without my n2o the Z06 would be faster, but as far as modding to beat them, you could spend $600 on n2o, or about $2500 for heads, cam, headers package, not including computer tuneing and converter or clutch, but your still stuck with the shitty 10bolt, so thats another 2500 - 3k........ BUT... you could beat them w/ just a cutout if they arent very skilled drivers, and that would def. make them feel stupid.....

C5 auto (STOCK) vs WS-6 M6 (LID, cutout)???

"Some bolt on's" aren't going to get you in Z06 territory. Sorry.

I would take "some bolt on's" as meaning nothing internal.
