Default Trans temp sender

Where do you guys mount this thing? I know some drill but is there a better place to put it?

I'm assuming you have an A4. On my A4 I drilled and tapped the side of the pan using a B&M pan plug kit. Also on the drivers side of the A4 (I believe it's half way up the tranny) their is an 1/8"NPT test port that the sender will screw right into. This spot is know to give an accurate reading too.
