do not use AMSOIL torque drive for your automatic transmission save yourself the headache did a trans fluid change shifts a lot softer now.....once summer comes back to Dex 3 from me....just a heads up for anybody wanting to switch to torque drive.....

maybe a dumb question but why not just try the amsoil oe replacement fluid for autos?

After driving with torque drive and beating on it my transmission was yelling at me telling me to get it out of there...and buddy of mine tried the OE and it was no good......every single transmission shop that I've talked to says stay with dex/merc.....now motor oil is great....especially the Z-ROD oil.,..

I ran torque drive in my Allison for over 60k miles. Truck was tuned and raced quite often. Never had any issues And noticed no difference when I changed back to dex6. Telling everyone don't use it is kind of overkill. Not all end users will have the same results with one product.

From being in a dealership service department for most of my adult working life, I suggest if you do use amsoil in the engine or trans you still follow the recommended service intervals. Had several people follow amsoils recommended intervals and completely sludge the engine up. One led to being replaced (not under warranty) even though it was under factory extended.
