Question Does the stock spoiler on a early 4th gen actually work?

I was just curious does the actually stock spoiler do anything for down force? Or is it just there for looks?

its a piece of crap in my opinion i think it helps zero, why it takes aftermarket companies to come up with the better ideas i do not know but i have always wondered how GM can build bad butt cars but then one or two things you know they could have done way better and wonder why they did not. My favorites are the SS spoilers and most of all the LGMotorports ZR28 spoiler now those might actually do a tad bit of something but heck im no aerodynamics man just giving you some opinion input

I seriously doubt it.

good thread! i was actually thinking about that as i washed my car yesterday. i would think the SS spoiler helps some since it has the lip, but I doubt the regular z28 spoiler does much of anything. Interesting how us rwd cars don't even have spoilers that do anything...and most fwd imports get spoilers that create more downforce than F1 cars...
