Default 383 Compression Ratio

I'm getting a 383 stroker to go in my LS1 but I have 6.0L heads and I'm trying to figure out do I need to get them milled? I'm looking for anything in between 10:1-10:5. (Kit is 4.000 stroke 6.200 rod 3.905 bore).

Do you know how much your pistons are going to come out of the hole?

If they come out .005 like stock you can mill .030 off the heads to hit 10.1:1 compression. (Or close to there if my calcs are right)

You'll need to run a 6L gasket (you'll burn up a stock bore gasket with those 6L heads)

A domed custom piston will allow you to keep the heads unmilled.
