I think it's possible, you would need some good heads and a fairly large cam, but anythings possible

I have 410RWH/399RWT threw an A4/12-Bolt 4.10 (lost 15RW going to the 12-bolt)
If I added a LSX/90MM TB I'd be over 420RWH for sure.

My parts...
S2X LS6 Heads,Comp 224-580 cam,Not a very big cam in todays standards.
U can do it for sure.....

eh, there are a couple of guys making 440+ through auto's and a couple even with small cams ie 224...in most cases to make over 420 its good heads/decent sized cam 224 minimum/ls6 intake, LT's, good catback, possibly cutout, pulley, & ported TB and you should be there. Fwiw i dynoed @ 373rwhp in 2nd gear, with no pulley, stock TB, no cutout, and ls1 intake...most that ive talked to agree with those mods i should be in the 410-420 realm if i can dyno in 3rd thats with patriots $999 heads.

No problem for 420.
Colonel in this forum is doing it with a stealth II cam, Stage II heads and other bolt ons.

I know a guy here that is doing 405 with a 216/220 comp cam and a truck load of bolt ons through 10 bolt rear.

I agree with 224/0.581/112 , stage II Heads, and proper tune with bolt ons.
Also you might want to check the new TSP 225/0.589/112+2 (I'm looking at that for my DD.)

Check sig! Mine is safely tuned for spray. Could have gotten another 10-20rwhp if I didn`t want to spray. Man I love the juice!!!

420 RWHP with A4s is pretty common nowadays. The challenge to me was to see how streetable I could do it.

420 is defentially geting easier.
I thing a better question is 420 with a different rearend/ converter/ gears and no dyno tricks.
Drive the damn car to the dyno and get 420 with all of the above mods in a A4 is much harder.
I made 441 with 31 miles on the motor and a 12 bolt with a 242/248 duration cam stage 2 heads and a 410 cubic inch motor.
More is defentially possible but I need better heads.
This is also with a LS6 intake and stock ported TB.

any particular reason for your 420+ goal? you dont need alot of power in an a4 to go fast. a good stall and tires goes along way

I hit 424.1 and 393.7 with normal bolts on a 237/242 cam and localy ported and polished heads with 2.02 and 1.57's thru the stock 10 bolt. I might have some tuning that may need to be done and have some other issues(burning oil) but I have an M6. It's possible for sure.

Exactly JZ,I run threw full belts, filter and cutout and a 12-bolt 4.10's.The X cam is alittle bigger 230-227 than my 224-224 cam and I dynoed 410RW with it,I bet if I put the X cam in my car it would be over 425,add a lsx and a 90 mm tb and I'd be at 440 easy and thats not dropping the y pipe like alot of guys have done.

A set of MTI Stage 2E's and X1 cam could get you there. But more importantly, they can get you a killer ET/MPH

I would have to agree with "jrp" on this one. My car dynoed 409rwhp/425rwtq, but the car is surely not a dyno queen. The car dynoed 310rwhp/333rwtq before the H/C swap, and that is with all the basic bolt-ons minus MAF. I have seen other A4 cars with less mods dyno higher than that. But I don't care if I know I can kick their *** on the track.

These #'s were accomplished with NO dyno tricks at all. We didn't touch the air filter, belts, or even mess with tire pressures. I didn't care about all that. I could have dynoed 380 and as long as it still put down 10 sec passes all day long I would be happy.
