Default Steering Wheel grip

Anybody have suggestions on what option is best for adding a steering wheel grip for a Trans Am? I feel like it is too skinny, and with all the Armour All I place on the dash and console, some always ends up around the wheel, and that equals trouble in the corners. Those covers that are pre made look cheap and clunky, and that vinyl grip with string never fits right. I was thinking of using leather bat or racquet grip...anyone try this or another option?

I saw a cool NOS one at AutoZone, matching floormats and seat covers too. ...

And shift boots to match:

I havent tried these, but they look like a better choice than the stuff available at local auto parts stores.

That Afterthoughts Auto grip looks great, thanks for the recommendation!
