Default Cleaned up my CME tail-pipes a little....

Nothing knuckles and a little sand paper can't fix. I used some fine sand paper to clean them up quite a but. They are REAL smooth now. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some finer grit sand paper, clean them some somemore and half *** polish them....don't want them too bling though, I think they look good as is. What can I put on them to prevent them from rust? Hopefully if I stay on it, I can keep them pretty clean and from getting dark again, I'm hoping that with them being as smooth as they are now, they should clean up easily. Anway, here are the pics...

Heres what they looked like stock. After all the mods....they got quite a bit dirtier :eek3:

Here I've cleaned the passenger side and started on the driver side

And a final pic

Very nice. I've noticed when you stay on top of things on a weekly basis it prevents those 8-10 hour saturdays getting the whole car looking good again. Too bad *other* commitments prevent us from being able to do that.

What are your detailing product choices? Your car looks good.

I havent actually used anything on the car yet, other than meguires car wash. Need to look into detailing the car soon though.

Couple people have recomended Never Dull, so i'll give that a try on the tips. Need to get out there and polish them up a little more, just wish it would stop raining

Never Dull is a good product for maintenance of the shine, but it won't get you there if your starting point is bad. It doesn't have enough abrasives in it to clean the bad stuff.

I just polished an exhaust, and started with some VERY fine steel wool and mothers polish. Did an amazing job!
