Question 02 Z28 ECM - whats inside?

I recently aquired an 02Z with 1500 miles on it. I've had some hacking / programming experience with GM's P4 processors and now my attention has turned to the LS1. I've been searching archives here and on other sites and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I'd like to know some specifics on the controller's internals. First, what processor does it use? Has anyone aquired schematics or hacks similar to what has been done with the 3rd gen stuff? It seems everyone is using LS1Edit or (whats that other one?) but I don't hear much talk about the nuts and bolts of the ECM itself.

The old experts who open sourced most of the data previously at the old DIYEFI boards are still around. With that old open source data, a few "rushed to market" products have appeared, and these products have satisfied the immediate needs of a few.

Get good at GOOGLE, and most of the "good stuff" is still out there.

Feel free to also look at www.efilive.com...
