Default Auto shifting

Anyone have this happen on an A4.If you leave the trans in drive it will shift fine and to the redline, but if you try and shift it manually by putting it in first it will just shift out of first into second right away,It will not hold in first gear. The tranny is built and has a vacum modulated line pressure, but it did the same thing before this was adapted on to the tranny.....

Ugh...yeah...it's called vacuum modulation. I'm sure the rebuild of your transmission included modifications to it to shift instantly upon hard gear selection. That's not uncommon. If it did it prior to the rebuild, then your stock 4L60E wasn't your typical GM build. You shouldn't be hard selecting gears anyways unless specifically advised by your transmission builder. Your computer will do an accurate job of shifting gears unless there's a delay in RPMs and ramp rate. From what you're saying there's not any. I wouldn't worry about it.
