I've only run on DRs twice. I didn't lower my air pressure at all either time. Next time I'm going to drop the rears down to around 18. I found a gas station with free air just down the street, so I'll be all set to drive home.

I pull into the water box and do a decent burn out, and hold it for a good 10 feet or so. Stage, and launch around 3k or less to save the rear end. With the air PSI still at 33, I managed a 2.0 60'. I know it's not that great but I've only run a total of 3 times, 2 of them being on the DRs. So

I put the psi to 15, just roll through the water box, do a massive phocking burnout, and (I) leave from the rev limiter. You have an auto so I would just mash the hell out of the go pedal on third yellow

My BFG's always performed best when I did a dry burnout. Go around the water box then back up onto the 'pad' but don't touch the water. Do a burnout until you see smoke in both side mirrors usually 5 seconds.

Also, one more tip is to find an empty patch of concrete somewhere and burn the living poo poo out of those tires. I was at a shop party one night and a burnout contest spontaniously errupted. So I did what any gear head would do and lit the hides up until you could not see anything. My tires always dead hooked after that.

i usually pull throught water box and do a burnout just in front of it. then i do a pretty good burnout. at first youll do a short one but they really need to be heated up alot. ive never timed it but i would say 15 seconds or more. then if i have enough time (other guy doin a longer burnout) ill stop ahead of the staging lights and do a test launch to see how they will hook. then i stage and stall it to 1500 and leave on the third yellow. i usally keep them at about 20 psi no matter if im racing or driving. you want to keep them at about 25 psi at the MOST on the street to keep the wear even.

cool thanks for all the info, now as far as driving on them is it not a good idea to keep them on for the trip home ? i live about 30 minutes from our track and i was not sure what kind of regualar driving mileage you can see out of them on the street.

i drive on mine damn near every day. you just have to be kinda careful in the rain but other than that, they are great street tires. just make sure to keep the tire pressure around 25 psi or less.
