Default Aftermarket Rockers on 98 Heads Without Grinding?

Are there any aftermarket roller rockers that will work on the 97-98 style perimeter bolt heads that dont require extensive modificiation to the valve covers. I know the Harland Sharp ones require a ton of grinding.

I'm just looking for future options.

nope.

The grinding the harlands isnt that big of a deal....I dont think any rocker manufacturors are going to make a rocker to fit the 98's because so few of them in comparison to the 99+

Where do you have to grind on the heads to get the Harlands to fit?, I have a set in my closet I have been meaning to put on.

Blacker from LS2.COM had a set on his 98 and he said not only did he have to grind away the bosses where the perimeter bolts go, that he also had to grind the tops of the underside of the valve covers because they would hit the underside of them. He said it took a LOT of grinding to get them to barely fit and even then they were still hitting, so he sold his.

I bought the YT's. It'll be quite a while before they're installed though. When I bought them, I specified that they were for a 98. Now I'm wondering if THEY'LL fit without machining. First thing in the morning will be YT/stock comparison time.

Man, that sounds familar, I had to do all of those things. It was a major PITA, but i did get them to work.
