Default Home dyno

i was looking for the closest dyno to me and found this page. it talks about a home dyno for less than one dyno session. It dont have much information tho. has anyone heard of it and is it just a scam?

Never seen it before. However, if you have
a logger software setup and can pick off the
VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or speedo value
and RPM and have a reasonable idea of vehicle
weight, then you can extract your own "inertial
dyno" data in Excel by some simple math, & get
RWHP/RWTQ curves that are standard-looking.
Somebody has gone to a bit more trouble there
and would like to get paid, price seems not-insane.
But I'm do-it-yerself prone, personally.

Similair to what a Gtech does... if you know the weight and acceleration... it's just math.
