Default Your opinion on TTII's

I am considering buying some American Racing Torq Thrust II's to put on my 02 WS6

it is stock height and i ko that the blackbird WS6 has TTII's however they are lowered and looks like there rear wheels are the 17x9.5....

i want the TTII's but do not kno how they would be stock height....and if i was to get TTII's would it look better to have the 17x9.5 with a 275/40/17 tire or 17x11 with a 315/35/17 tire on the back?

if anyone has pictures to compare...since i kno that the 17x11 sticks out just a tad bit...

and one other ?...if i would need to do a BFH mod on the 11-315 combo....with stock heightt...would it be safe to lower the car and also do a bfh mod

(pics with stock height would be best thanks)

I say don't get the TT2s, tons of people have them including my sister, no joke, lol.

They are great looking rims, but I see them way to often and they just don't appeal to me that much anymore.

I have Boyd Timeless 5s on my TA, and they look awesome imo, they also make the smoothie which looks alot like the TT2 which i'm sure your aware of.

If you're set on buying some TT2s or a similar rims I say go with the Smoothie 2 as they have a better looking lip.

Smoothie 2

Reg Smoothie

As for the back I saw go with some 17x11 with a 315, and many people have had to do the "bfh" mod to get them to fit, and some I recall didn't do anything and they fit fine, which may be your case since your car isn't lowered.

Hope I helped

Oh, just looked on boyds website again, and didn't see the smoothie 2 in a 17x11, only by 10, so maybe you could do that instead if you wanted with a 305 or 295 on the back and not worry bout the bfh mod.

TT2's are a very good looking rim, but definatly over-used, which is the reason I sold mine last year. If you really like them though, I say get them... and I really recommend dropping the car at least an inch. I had the TT2's before and after I dropped the car and it totally changes the look. If you want I can post a old picture of my camaro at stock height with them.

Stock height car + new wheels = Bad look

I have 17x9.5 TT2's all the way around and I love mine, just a PITA to keep clean though. BTW I had my buddies ZR1's on my SS and he has 11's with 315's and I have Hypercoils springs (1 1/2 drop) and I didn't have any problems with rubbing.

Used to sit high . About a month after those photo's I install eibach sportlines and now my car is 3 inches off the ground (from lowest point which is the air dam & pacesetter off rd Y-pipe). Those picture's are 1 1/2 years old, the most recent ones I took are on my website. The TT2's I had where 17x9.5 all around with 285/40/17 tires.

Check my sig. Lowered with TT II's. 17x9.5 and 17x11. They are bad *** looking, but they are used alot, wich is why I sent mine out to be powdercoated!
