I don't know of any, but I don't think it would be too hard to be honest. "BlackSunshine" will be the first hardcore, bolt-on guy to try a cam only first. Last I heard, he was going with the TR 224 cam on a 112 LSA. Considering that he's run some 11.4's w/ stock internals, he'll definitely be knocking on the door of 10's! It's going to take a max effort bolt-on car that's really light in some great weather to pull it off, but it's not out of the question.

don't be fooled...I have a STREET car. I put 500 miles a week on it. Drive to the track NOT a trailer car by any sense of the imagination.

But its true most people wouldn't want to drive around with the big gears or with the Detroit locker, etc

I truly believe this could be done. The thought def crossed my mind. At the end of the year, the best I could get was 11.49, and not to make excuses, but that was with a strong headwind. I felt the car had a 11.35 in it, on a perfect day.

There was still more I could have done to the car, k-member/A arms, and maybe switch to a Yank 4400.

The thought crossed my mind, to be the first to get into the 10's with just cam & bolt ons. I ordered the TR 224, on a 112 ls.

Then I got to thinking of all the work to get to that point, & I thought that I should do the heads too, while I was already in there. ARE stage 2 heads are on order & I'm waiting on them now.

So, someone else is going to have to be the first to get that one. However, if the heads take to long to get here, I may change my mind.

Black Sunshine could I have a list of your mods??? I am very impressed with your times and I am curious of what it would take to just get my car into low 12's with bolt ons. If you don't mind telling me your secrets you can email me a list @ Joshua99@ls1com.every1.net I dont expect you to tell me the main things but I am interested in what it takes to get to that point without having to shave lots of weight.... I want to keep my car as streetable and luxurious as possible. Thanks!

Al you need for low 12s is a good sticky tire (preferrably slick) and a good converter. (I would recommend the TP4400)
Cheers,
Chris

That said, I'd have to change springs to run the cam I'm leaning towards, but the heads would be stock 'til I'm done with the others.

I think a very high 10.9x is possible with good air and traction with my set-up and a cam. Once I get my heads done, who knows, but it should be quick. Take care.
