I am trying to get the skip shift solenoid to engage in third gear instead of first to prevent the 3-2 misshift. The problem is there is a throttle % disable threshold and the max i can change it to is 100%. So when i go WOT, it disables skip shift. So i want to know if there's any way to make the TPS read 99% instead of 100% at wot so i never reach the disable threshhold. I already adjusted my idle stop about 3% and reset it to zero by unplugging the sensor, but it still reads 100% at wot.

The only way I can think of is to remove the throttle body, tap a hole where the throttle cam opens up to, and use a set screw to limit how far the throttle can open.

Does it really clip the value to 100%? In some
of the tables you can put insane values to mean
"never happen". You might try putting in 101. If
HPTuners is clipping it -for- you, you might ask
on their board for them to verify that you can't
use >100% values and have this work; they have
been trying to put this "safety limit" stuff I guess
just to keep people from hurting themselves, but
sometimes you just gotta go over the posted limit.

Yeah it clips it. If i put in 101 and press save changes, it changes back to 100.

Well, anyway, I would bug them about it
and see if they know about what putting
in 101 would do, and maybe changing the
"clip" limit for you.
