Default LSA vs fuel mileage...

I know this is very general, but how much does LSA effect fuel mileage?

For example, a 220/220 cam on a 112 vs 114 LSA.

Say the vehicle is used as a daily driver. It's an A4 with a relatively tight stall. It sits in traffic 20 minutes a day, and is kept under 3K rpms during "normal" driving.

I'm a little spoiled with the excellent mileage I get with my truck. It's way better than I should be getting. I'm considering a smaller sized cam on a 112, and I'd hate to give 'too much' of that mileage up.

If there is any difference (I don't think there will be assuming you get the car properly tuned for each cam) it would be minimal. Tuning on the 114 will be easier of course also.

BTW, I got 23-24 mpg on the hwy with my TR224/114 and haven't noticed any significant change with the new cam either.

I have a 222/222 cam on 112 lsa and i got a best of 28 mpg on a recent roadtrip, which is very close to what i got with the stock cam. You might want to go with 114 just because of the tight stall though. Tuning shouldn't affect your mileage for normal driving since you're in closed loop.
