ok i guess this can go here? but i was looking in summit and they have 3 different types.. one to roll cage, but i dont have a cage..
Im just putting in a racing seat for weight savings, and i have the stock seatbelts still in car..
questions is: they make a bolt in and floor mount.. which one is best?
the bolt in says something about it being for stock cars with stock seatbelts?? what exactly is the difference in the floor mount and bolt in?

I just put my 5pt. harness in last week. I got the RCI camlock y-type harness that attaches to my rollbar in the back. I used the stock mounting point for the lap belts....you need the eye bolt style connections(I assume that's the bolt-in type). You have to drill a hole and install an eye bolt for the crotch strap and get the fish hook (clamp on) style connection. The best for you would probably be a h-type (not y) to use the rear seat belt points (eye bolt style as well) and use the stock bolts to secure them. That way you won't have to drill and install eye bolts in the back seat.
But why do you want a 5pt harness without a cage?

I would not get a 5 pt harness without a roll bar. If you do roll your car (for whatever reason), the harness will tend to keep your body upright - even if the roof collapses (due to the lack of a roll bar). That's not good, in such a case.

Man that thing has to weigh 10 lbs or so. I don't know how much the stock seat belt assemblies weigh, but I'm sure its not as much as the harness.

What seats are going in the car? If you ended up going with the Corbeau's then running the stock seat belts will work out just fine. Check the link in my sig that says "Pictures" click on my 2001 Z28 and then there is one picture in there of the corbeau seats in my car running the stock seat belts.
