Default Anyone else upgrade from V6 to the LS1

I moved up from a 3.4L V6 A4 Firebird to my '00 6spd Z28.

At times I find myself actually missing my old 6. For one, it looked a heck of a lot better than my Z. But I think the main reason is because it was my first F-Bod..

Any of you other guys miss your old cars?

Well, in the winter I often wish I had been able to keep my 4WD 1986 Toyota Tercel to fight through the snow so my Z can sit. But other that, hell no!

I miss my IROC-Z, but there's no way in hell that I'd trade it for my 02 Z28.

Cool

I went from a '95 3.4 Camaro to the '99 SS almost 3 years ago. I don't miss it at all. I got tired of getting beat by (most) newer imports. 160hp to 320hp..hmmm

Just get some new rims & maybe a grille.

I went from my brand new 2001 Mustang GT to a 1999 SS. I have no regrets. Who is that pimp looking guy in the first picture

haha, me three! I owned a 2000 Camaro V6, then traded in a new 2002 Gt, then I got rid of the GT to get my '98 LS1 Camaro.

I kinda miss the v-6. I had a 97 3.8L hardtop in that unique maroon color. Then just before my 18th b-day, I bought the 99 NBM Hawk (2 months old in two days). I had the v-6 just after my 16th b-day. I only miss the v-6 because I could drive it around and not care about the mileage and the condition so much. I obsess about my hawk and I love just staring at it and washing it. It is way better than the v-6 though and throttle response and the looks and compliments from others are unbeatable.

man, I miss my 98 ranger (yeah, laugh it up. It was hella slow, but I never had a single problem with it. It was my first car. I could go about anywhere with it, and I never had to worry about ground clearance!) Dont get me wrong... I LOVE my Z28, but I cant disrespect a Z28. It has too much power to disrespect. I had my foot to the floor about everywhere I went when I drove the ranger, but with the Z28, I cant afford (due to how much repairs cost, and because of how much it hurts to see my car hurt ) to drive it hard. I just LOVE my Z28 so much, that I dont wanna break it. The Ranger was a lot of fun, Im glad I traded UP, but i still miss the freedom I had with the truck. BTW the cops never paid attention to a dude in a Ranger.

My first car was a 71 Camaro with a inline six. I upgraded to my Z28 from that. I don't miss my '71 though because I still have it. I do miss driving it though. I've been working on it for 3 years. It's almost there though.

My first car was a Straight Six E-150, and the only thing I miss about that van is the amount of space I had to haul things with. Other than that, I love my Z28 so much more!

My first two cars where a 92 Camaro RS and my 1990 Firebird, both w/ 3.1s and ATs. I still have the 90 Birdy, and I so miss driving it. I also miss driving all my Thirdgens. For some reason the 00 just doesn't match up to them, it has the power, but it is just not the same.

My first F-body was a Mystic Teal '95 V6, I traded it in on my '99. I sort of miss it still... I tend to forget about it sometimes when I get on it in the current car though

1986 Toyota Tercel was my first. Thing was so GD slow, I topped it out at 83 mph once It had a 1.6L or so inline four with well under 100 hp and a three speed auto. When I had six friends in it one time, it would only go 74mph flat out slightly downhill Still wish I had it for a winter/beater though, it was 4wd and went anywhere through anything even feet of snow and i could not kill it......i tried....it WOULD NOT DIE!

my first car was an 89 ford ranger, than i bought a 97 4wd blazer, and supposedly traded the ranger in on my 00 z28. couldnt stand to see her go (loved that truck too much) and bought it back from the dealer for $1500, and still got the credit for the trade in ($4500) so in a way still got 3 grand off the 'camaro
