Need a few horses for a race that I talked myself into...... The way the story happens is...... I was at the track last night and I had been drinking a little and I left my car at home for that reason. A guy from around here was there and he was talking **** and I popped off and almost got in a fight b/c he called my car a slow P.O.S. and well I told him that my car was a hell of alot faster than his and he just started saying something and I just told him to shut the hell up before he really pisses me off....
But to make a LONG LONG story short..... I know my car is faster 13.6's(other car) to 13.2-4's in my car(havent tried to get a good time in about a year) (mods in sig) and I want to add some easy and CHEAP horsepower by this weekend... I was hoping on some cheap bolts ons or some free mods. If you guys can help me out anyway I would appreciate it A LOT!!!

Seriously though, pull as much weight out of the car as you can and show up with less than 1/4 tank.

Re: Need a few horses for a race that I talked myself into...... could I fab up a bellow(like the fernco or slp) that would fit the stock air box?????? Im thinking about grinding the grooves out of the top of the stock air box too! A freind of mine has a kit on his vette(I forgot his ls1tech screenname) I'm gunna ask him if he'll let me borrow it.. I might see low 12's before I had plans to!!!!

Re: Need a few horses for a race that I talked myself into...... Well Terry you have a point that my car is pretty slow but its not bad for a 17 year old HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT!!!!!! I think I'm doing pretty damn good to have the fastest DAILY DRIVEN STREET CAR in Magee, MS
I will be sure to go in the 12's with bolt on's this summer....... I want to go in the 10's when I graduate in 2003(I'm only a junior)
You can also keep in mind the 3900 # race weight(I'm also 6'5" 300#)
I don't think I'm doing very bad!
I could just let my dad drive(185#)... but he would probably sleep out of the hole!

I am going to do that next week since I am not gunna be in town this weekend (I found some ladies to occupy me for this weekend!) LOL I will try that IF my transmission acts ok.... I think I might have a slight roar in the transmission or the rear end(stock rear) so I might have a problem.... I just replaced the torque arm bushing and it took out a little of it but there is still more there and I need to figure it out FAST!

We have a good many of people around here and we USED TO HAVE some REALLY GOOOD street racing for a SMALL town but all that played out since the cops have became gotted pretty bad around here
