Re: pistons slapping valves around
I have these heads-SDPC LS6 milled .055".My cam is 239/251, 106 lsa,0.570". Heads were sanded and new valves (2.02/1.57)@ Lingenfelter.They mocked them up for me and notched my stock LS6 pistons. Intake notch - .060"
Exhaust notch - .100"
Hope this helps. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

pistons slapping valves around
My set up will be this - and I want to aviod any S&M events:
* SDPC Ls6 ported heads - milled .055 inches
* Stock LS6 valves
* Stock head gasket
* Cam = TR 227/224 114, lift = 560 reverse split
Question: Am I likely to run into clearance problems? If yes, what is the easiest fix to avoid any future black and blues?
I purchased the heads but have not purchased the cam yet... ...I would like a high lift cam to match the flow characteristics of the ported heads, if possible...
