Default A3 swap: Same Stall and what will happen to the 60's?

Really thinking about the A4-A3 swap, TH350 it will be. I have one so that is the easy part. Now I run a Yank ST3500, it flashes to 3500, would i need/want the same stall or higher/lower in the TH350?
And with the higher (2.5X) 1st gear compared to the 3.06 (A4) would I need more rear gear or would my 60's stay the same? I can get 1.69s right now but think there is more in it.

I dont want to lose anything by going to the A3, i want to gain!!
Currently have 3.73s.

Recomendations/Comments/Suggestions appreciated.

Default Re: A3 swap: Same Stall and what will happen to the 60's?

It's been a long time since I swapped out the 4L60E for my TH350. I went from a Vigilante converter (~3600 stall) to a ~3500 stall Turbo Action converter. I saw virtually no difference in 60', ET, or trap speeds. My car had some issues (hell, it still has issues) then and didn't put down stellar numbers though...

IMHO, the change from a 3.06 to a 2.52 1st gear isn't as drastic as it may seem. 1st and 2nd are geared closer on a TH350, so there is less RPM drop on that 1-2 shift.
