Fastest Hot-cammed car?
I want to lay claim to the fastest trap and ET with a hotcam, so let me post my slip and mods for you all. Let me know what you think.
R/T: .648
60: 1.684
330: 4.829
1/8: 7.451
MPH: 93.75
1000: 9.729
1/4: 11.648
MPH: 119.69
Car: 2000 SS, SY3500, RRheads, LS1 hotcam, Stock valves, Stock intake, 3.42 gears, Ed Wright PCM.
I was pretty happy with those times, not too bad for a "slow" auto

Re: Fastest Hot-cammed car?
Allen, no pulley, no ported TB, stock MAF.
Thanks man for the compliment.
I am happy with it, and am autotapping it now to learn more about the shift points VS RPM to see if I can make some more power.

Wow Joe, that's even more impressive. I just noticed you have the stock intake as well. Your car is doing really well for all that stuff. I still say a ported tb is going to do good though. I got one on order and we'll see

Those times are unreal bro! You have got to have that title from what I`ve seen. The thing that really excites me is your list of mods is identical to what I`m planning on. If you don`t mind I`d like to shoot you an e-mail sometime to get some advise. If I can even get close to those #`s I`d **** myself! Nice job man!

Re: Fastest Hot-cammed car?
Joe, do you have a pulley or ported tb on there? What about maf? Just wondering what bolt-ons you have. I still can't believe how well your car runs. That's a great mph.

DA? Density Altitude?
I honestly have no idea. It was about 60 degrees, sunny, low humidity.
The car weighs 3500 with me in it. I had a 1/2 tank of fuel.

Re: Fastest Hot-cammed car?
Well, I will be going with a TNT 150 shot next month. I will post my new times. I hope for a 10.7 or better and MPH of 126 or so.
As long as the fuel system is up to par.
