Default looking for a the recipe for the ultimate Z06....

i've got a friend who's got serious money, wants to make to turn his z06 to an animal. right now it's stock with a vortech s trim with 7lbs. supposedly makes 550ish to the wheels. don't know how legit that is since im a 5.0 guy who's been through numerous combo's.

my recomendation to him was a new long block with lower compression pistons, ported heads, intake (can u port the ls6 intake?), cam, smaller pulley as an s trim is easily capable of 15lbs. on a ribbed puley setup with minimal slippage (at least on a mustang), plus all other items required.

his goal is 750 rwhp!

which company would build this motor and has a good reputation.

all ideas and recipe's appreciated along with contacts for companies and websites.

he's expecting to spend 25k.

tks

Wheres he located at? All of the sponsors can build a stout motor that will handle boost well, and still be very very streetable.

have MTI build him a low compression 427 and then put the Vortech back on

They have a nice 1-price all included package.

Apparently you dont know a lot about Vettes. Its damn near impossible to fit a T88 size turbo somewhere. Go ask ls1speed.

He's got serious money and wants something reliable. I'd get my own motor done. Get the stage 1 package from LPE which has the same turbos as the stage 3 package. Get a better fuel system. Turn up the boost and enjoy.

apparently i dont drive a vette... But i do KNOW that its more then possible to get a t88 or even t51R in there. ANd with enough money (aka needed to make the "ultimate zo6") im sure fabrication and modification isnt out of the question.

received an email from mti, will have him call them. also a local shop thinks they can do it (va beach), but i think they would use most of mti's stuff (heads, cam).

Lingenfelter.

I believe they built a street driven Z06 that has run high 8's in the 1/4mi.

They guarantee their work, I've never heard anything bad about them. Not cheap, but very reputable.
