Default Street Gears.

Gotta question. I was debating getting some 3.73s, but I've been reading that some guys will max out rpms@ 120MPH, is this true? I want better low end, but will I be sacrificing that much top end? I don't race on the strip, but occassionally on the highway late at night. I wouldn't want a import to burn me on the freeway if he could pass 120. Should I stay with 2.73s, or would I love the 3.73 lowend jump? Opinions?

By the way, I'm typically not driving over 120, that's a what if senario.

A good 3300 - 3600 stall torque converter would give you awesome low end and eliminate the dead spots on your upshifts. No need to swap gears.

3.42s would also give you another 10 mph of top end margin if you swap gears.

Sounds pretty good. How much would you say the TC installation would be?
