Default Zaino and Silicone

Does Zaino contain this? Either the Z2/5/FX/detailing spray? Just wondering b/c I got a few pieces painted today, and asked when I could polish. I was told I could do so at anytime w/ products that don't contain silicone, but wait a month if so. Thanks!

I do not believe so. I'm sure some others will chime in.

Zaino contains no abrasives or harmful silicones!

We do not have a contents list of Zaino so it's hard to tell. More than likely it has safe silicone (Polydimethylsiloxane or PDMS for short). The silicone that detailers try to stay away from is Dimethyl or D/S for short.

Zaino is fine, no need to worry about D/S from what I've seen.

Whats wrong with silicone? The gel tire glosses are silicone. I know that tires are rubber and not paint, but sometimes that stuff can fly off and onto your paint (although its less likely than the water-based stuff).

It can age the tires quicker, does not have an u.v. protection, it attracts/soaks up dirt, browns the tires and can be a pain in the neck to remove.

Silicone doesn't allow fresh paint to properly breath and cure.

If you get it on your paint, you are asking for trouble!

None of the Zaino products contain any type of silicones in them.

They can list materials without quantities, etc. They have lots of things like MSDS sheets.

It always makes my tires black. Last I checked some also have UV protectants. Why would you want to remove it. It wears off in a week or two anyway.
