Default What can I do with a 6.0L?

I just picked up a 2000 6.0L. It has the iron heads and block and is completely stock. What can I do with it? What are my options as far as cams, intakes, heads, crank, rods, pistons? This will be in a 86 S10 with some sort of auto trans. What power numbers can I expect with just an intake and cam swap? can I just mill the heads for more compression? Does it have forged pistons? can you bore these blocks or do they have sleaves?

You could go .060 over and offset grind the crank for more cubes, better cam would help alot. I would buy the aluminum heads for weight. power depends what you want to do with it?

Its not a forged bottom end.

What you can do to an LS1, or LS1 based motor like the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0, is almost unlimited...

There are a number of stroker kits made by Lunati... there seem to be at least 6 popular companies selling performance heads... Cams - infinite amount. Anything from a few drop-in emission legal Crane Cams, to basically strip-only top end screamers.

A handfull of intakes, superchargers, turbos, NOS...

Pick a product, grab a few beers, sit back and run a few searches on here... you'll be busy for quite some time.

I found a good deal on 241 heads, would these be better than the stock heads?
