Can you tell by the vin number if the car is a ws6 or a regular trans am. :confused:
I'm buying a (2002) ws6 and I'd like to know how can I be sure if it is a ws6 or :guns: somebody just converted it to a ws6 in the backyard.

Look at the RPO codes on the driver's door. If there's the WS6 code...then it's a real WS6. No WS6 code...then it's a fake.

VIN won't do it...VIN will only come up with and let you know that it was a Formula/Trans Am (basically that it was a V8).

I can look up your vin and tell all of the options your car was originally built with.So your answer is yes.
