Rice or not? Carbon fiber shift boot....
I just can't imagine it in my car, might look good, might look overdone, blingy and rice.... Opinions please!
Found it on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

Carbon fiber is fine...definately NOT rice. CF "cloth", that's kinda weird looking if you ask me. Not "rice", but weird.
I dare any of you to look at Steve's old 2000 SS and call it rice. Or any of these other moderators of this section with CF interior pieces....

you should post your opinion too and leave it at that - not try to "correct" those of us that (god forbid) have a different take on it. And to answer your "dare" I will look at CF on any car and call it rice all day, Camaro or not.

Carbon Fiber has a very "import" look to it and I don't think it belongs on an F-Body.
is that better?

CF is "okay" but what I don't like is that carbon fiber is a fiber usually mixed with resin or whatever to get a solid piece (like a hood or plastic-like panel). Its not a piece of cloth...or at least not that I know of.

That boot looks like it was made from a discarded pimp's handbag. Something about it in the picture just looks wrong.
Incase you haven't realized, the consensus of most of those that have posted, is that shift boot is ricey.
My opinion is that it is not only ricey, but ugly too.

...and you know what else...
It's too bad somebody like you has a good looking car like that, because with that attitude, you could easily pass for a mustang "my-everything-is-better-than-yours-and-your-opinion-sucks-no-matter-what" a$$hole!
Now, I feel better!
