Default Vid's from last weekend: romanss & wade from ARE

A couple vid's from last weekend, the season opener for the local club (Motown Muscle) at St. Thomas Dragway in Canada

romanss runs 10's NA

romanss runs 9's on the hose

Wade from ARE runs his C5

Wade tries for 8's
Wade ran a 9.25 @ 153, but i missed the run The first run he hit the button about 40 ft out by the looks of the vid. The car is SICK!!

Two corrections

1\ The vette is a hydraulic cammed car
2\ It still has IRS

It appears from talking to nick that on that run the tranny lines blew up. The fluid dumped all over the exhaust and gave a great mid-track smoke show.

The whole point of the project was to build a car from parts that ARE would sell to any customer looking for a high quality emissions legal monster engine . This is all part of the R&D project to push the limits of a commercially available non-exotic engine. Nick and Wade through this R&D are finding ways to make the big motor cars more durable and bullet proof. The ARE C5 is a resleeved aluminum LS1 block with ported LS6 heads and a direct port TNT kit that Nick designed.

There is almost no difference between the motors in Wade's C5, mine or Romans. The big difference is in suspension a good driver, and a ton of knowledge of how to properly use Nitrous.

Paul

Cool videos! I like that angle from the top on Roman's 9-second pass.

Those were awesome to watch live.

Matt: Did you happen to get a vid of that Civic running 9s? I know it was a gutted ricer, but it was still sick to see one go 9.76 at like 15x!

A few things:

First thank's to Harlan for the vids!!!

hyd. roller 422 resleeved block(LS1)
factory front and rear suspension(drag shocks)
LS1 heads
4l60e trans!!!!
300shot No2!

On the last run I was sure we had hurt the engine? and maybe lifted a head or something. It looked like coolant but didn't see that it was still running at the end(you can see on the vid). We trashed the converter and blew lots of oil over the exhaust at the rear from the vent tube . I couldn't believe that we didn't hurt the engine? Never pressurized the coolant system? and no water in the oil, plugs looked fine. I think we will have a closer look before we go out next time to make sure

That's all nothing real special but know we are close to the limit of the re-sleeved block! Hope we don't find out how close before next time out

No ****

Guess that'll teach me to listen to the other nick

Very impressive to say the least, i'm just pissed i missed the 9.25 run. I heard it, and saw the board after the run

No problems on the vid's, It was the least i could do. No car and all

harlan, official no car havin' camera *****

Thanks again Harlan.

I also love the angle from the walkway, it's an excellent vantage point, you can see pretty much everything.

PSJ, yup 4.10' with 28w's is correct. Why do you ask? Looking for a tire for yourself?

Tom, that ricer is something else. I guess that its the ricer record holder at that track.

See you guys at the track.

from what Nick said the heads came up on that run

They were hitting it REAL hard on that run, 300 shot rings a bell i think

from what i know, it's a big cube solid roller w/ a 4l60. How they got the trans to live is beyond me. Solid rear axle too i think
