Drag Racing Tech - helpful things to bring to track.....

Floor jack
tools
spark plugs
oil/fluids
air tank
pressure gauge
hand cleaner/rags

Things I always have at the track:
Ouart of oil.
Coolant bottle.
Extra plugs and wires.
Tools:wrenches, sockets, hammer, pliers, etc..
Towels/rags.
Gloves.
Jack.
Tire pressure gauge.
Cooler with drinks.

Please remember the writing utensil for the tech cards.

AND!!!your own shoe polish!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Helmet.

I am trying to come up with a list of things that may come in handy at the track. I Know many of you here have been to the track many times. any thing that you frequent 1/4 drag racers recommend bringing that might come in handy?

I bring a lot of the stuff listed, so I can top up fluids, look at plugs, jack up the car, and tighten remove stuff.

Always nice to have 1-2 10mm sockets and some extensions that is like the default bolt size on our cars.

I try to have that stuff in a box.

I would also add threadlocker and teflon tape to that list.

I also bring brake fluid.

I've been known to bring spare differentials, axles and gearsets to the track when I had my 10-bolt.

Yes, I've rebuilt my rear after breaking AT THE TRACK.

That one shocked quite a few people. (Thinking of taking a spare T-56 before too long <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )

Something that hasn't been mentioned (at least I didn't see it) was autotap. It seems like there is always someone who throws a code and is looking for it.

Plus it helps to check what rpm your actually shifting at and to keep an eye on the little things while running. Anymore, its the first thing I put in the car the night before.

Sunscreen is a big plus!!! Don't forget to put it on before you get to the track(specially if you have a car with t-tops) I ROASTED on the way and on the way back from Memphis about 2-3 weeks ago!

Has anyone mentioned bug spray, those skeeters eat me up at the track.

How about a little bit of that Gredex stuff to keep the rubber off the fenders. It works great, and the rubber just washes off.

cooler full of soda (track prices will break ya) some munchies,bottle of window marker stuff (kind that rubs off with a towel) Good attitude,oil, and some friends to help push the damn thing on the trailer if it breaks...Think thats it, may have forgotten something.

A Pen.

I always get stuck behind that guy or the guy who forgot to wear long pants and decides he's going to rewrite/negotiate the rules with Tech.

60 pound bottle of N2O and refill station.
Generator.
Air compressor for the refill station.
Scale to weigh the N2O bottle.
Extra RPM pills for the MSD.
Extra "Fuel & N2O" jets for N2O kit.
