Default New Best 1/8th & 1/4MPH

After swapping from 8.5" to 10" wheels and the new Hoosier 26X10X15 slicks I went out last night to see if I could better my times. Unfortunately I was running late and the new 15X10 Centerline Warriors w/6.5 BS were rubbing the brake calipers so I had to grind them down a bit. I only got 1 pass before eliminations in our heads up 11.00 class and I spun a little to a 10.90 @ 123.72MPH. New best MPH for me!

In the first round of eliminations I cut a 1.48 60' and a NEW best 6.91 1/8th time. I was .02 quicker in the 1/8th than my 10.90 pass so I figured it would have been a 10.86 or so pass if I didn't have to brake to keep from breaking out. We don't prep at all on friday nights, but hopefully today for the first ET Summit series they'll spray some VHT down. I'm just thrilled that the car will run 11.10's all day long with only 105mph traps. And I guess it was worth breaking because I walked off with the trophy again.

DA was 1600' on the 10.90 123.72 pass and 1350' on the best 1/8th pass.

The locals are just amazed at the potential of the LS1. I beat a t-braked 300shot nitrous, full tubbed car in the finals and he said he's seen alot of amazing cars, but this one takes the cake. Made my day to say the least.

Congrads! I was out working on my car today. I put the meziere and figured out a way to hook the heater up to it. Unfortunately I created a pin hole in the radiator while I was taking the ac condenser out. I wonder if I can just slap some JB weld on there?

So which way are you going to go when the rear breaks?

Mr. Jantzer,

"Wow" that is awesome. Great driving job!

Have not seen pic's of your Hot Rod. Do you have any posted?

What about any NHRA OR IHRA 10.90 racing?

I have a Hot Rod at Thunder, that we hope will run your kind of times to run some ST/HR races.

Keep us posted on your track times and racing stories.

z28kid98:

Yes, the 10 sec heads/cam cars are amazingly fast. 10 sec. is just plain fun any way you can get there. I want more.

Terry:

"If" the rear-end goes, I'll either go with another stocker, 12 bolt w/spool, or 9" depending upon the money situation and if I'm working on a short block or good heads/cam setup. I'll probably put together my own 12 bolt or 9" from a junkyard. I have a good buddy that can do all the welding and turn down the axle housings to the size I need. Should be a good budget buildup. But hopefully that'll happer later rather than sooner. BTW, I cut a 1.47 60ft tonight!

I'll start another topic and talk about my racing experience the last couple weeks.

Here are a couple picks of my car, in street form, and in race.

Congrats Scott! How does the rear wheel fit with a 6.5 bs? Do it stick out bad or is it not that noticeable?

Jantzer that is a sentional run and time through the 1/8 track. The car is highly fine tuned for suspension and record making 60 foot times. What is your slowest MPH wise to run a 11.1 to 11.0 range. To be honest, I haven't learn the fine art of a real fast 60 foot time. Maybe one day I will. Keep posting your new times and as before==RUN THAT FAST TIME.
