What a fun day at the track! (Holy mph batman!)
Just got back in about half an hour ago <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Here are the conditions:
Temp: 52
Baro 994KPA
humidty: (Not positive but it was sporadically sprinkling on us all day) when I left this morning it was at 62% but it wasnt sprinkling then <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Track elevation: 600 feet
Very little wind.. (Cross wind/tailwind picked up in the afternoon)
(I will try and compute the DA shortly)
Car weight with my 200 pound carcass: 3470
All runs with airfilter and through the FULL EXHAUST (No open Cutout)
Items removed: Jack, spare, front pass seat, rear seats, rear panels, back half of carpet, AC, EGR, AIR, Cruise and foglights
Ran with 3/4 tank of gas (DOH) didn't realize I would burn to little on the way to the track
28 inch slicks with 9 psi (also tried 26 inch ET streets at 11psi)
Got to the track and teched no problem. Watched a couple of cars make some shakedown passes and noticed NOBODY was hooking. 9 second cars sixty footing in the 1.6-1.7 range LOL!
Best sixty foot on 28x10 inch Hoosier slicks: 1.79 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
Best ET: 11.78
best mph: 122.60mph!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I was BLOWN away by the awesome mph. Ran 4 passes all over 122mph through the FULL exhaust!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Needless to say I was thrilled! Once I get this car to hook to the tune of 1.5x sixty's low 11's should be cake.
Things I still can/need to do:
shortbelt mod
Check out my torque arm and get it set again to -3 degrees pinion angle.
Get a new valve in my RR airbag (RR Airbag was leaking and not working)
What excites me about todays runs especially mph is that I still have an easy 150 pounds to take out of the car if I so desired. (both bumper supports, pass airbag, Dynabatt, K-Member, A-Arms, lighter rims, take out rest of carpet etc.
Thanks to Nick, Wade, Barry and the rest of the guys at ARE in providing such a great package. There is a lot more to come!
Cheers,
Chris
ps- It was great meeting 98 Gold Formula and a couple of other guys from the list and board. Hope to meet up with you all again soon!

Excellent MPH! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Now learn how to drive. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> It's not as easy to be a stab & steer guy as you thought. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
You need to drive down to Cecil tommorrow. I'll bet the DA will be awesome for May and they know where to apply the VHT. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />

Well you sure are running the MPH! Get that 60' number and you have your low 11's in the bag! Having no traction with that kind of power suucks!

Re: What a fun day at the track! (Holy mph batman!)
Thanks JS I was really happy <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Mine is the standard 200R no T-Brake.
On a sad note just after I left the track one of the F-bods (Vince) crashed on a nine second pass. Went over the wall at approx 140mph... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Driver was ok but the car is in hard shape...
I think he went 9.93@135mph BACKWARDS through the lights and went over the wall at around 140mph. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> !!!
Thank GOD for safety equipment!
