11.51@115.6 N/A with Bolt Ons!!!
I normally don't post my times, but tonight was a good night!!! I was running street legal night
at Indianpolis Raceway Park. The track was hooking pretty good and the weather was great.
The temperature was about 56 with the a barometer of 30.35 and dew point around 32.
I made 5 runs before they kicked me off the track for no rollbar. There was some 11.4's in
the car tonight. They are pretty easy going on rules, but I think what really got me kicked off
was the dangling of both tires 6-8 inches in the air. The person running the water box came
over and made a point to tell me how much air I was getting. This action tends to get you noticed.
My runs were as follow:
Run# R/T 60' 330' 1/8 MPH 1000' 1/4 MPH
1 .507 1.614 4.719 7.369 92.49 9.665 11.616 115.25
2 .504 1.606 4.708 7.346 92.92 9.636 11.581 115.60
3 .576 1.553 4.641 7.283 92.88 9.573 11.519 115.60
4 .551 1.578 4.678 7.313 93.10 9.599 11.544 115.68
5 .534 1.570 4.669 7.315 92.71 9.610 11. 561 115.23
Now about my car. 98WS6 T/A. All stock internals with Hooker Shorty Headers, Pulley, MTI
Box, Custom Exhaust, 4L60E with Trans Go Shift kit, Yank PT4400, 3.73 Gears in stock 10
Bolt, 26x11.5x15 Hoosier QTPs on 15x10 Weld Draglites and SR165-15s on 15x3.5 Welds,
Hal front shocks and springs, Hal rear shocks, Kenny Brown DD, METCO lower control
arms and relocation brackets, Spohn Torque Arm, PA K member and A arms, Stock MAF,
Stock Throttle Body, Stock Intake, Ed Wright program, That should take care of the important
stuff.
Race Weight Tonight 3180lbs
Thanks goes to Jay Billingsley for giving advice on the suspension set up. Without his help
I would not be where I am at now. If you needs parts or advice see Jay, he will bend over
backwards to help.

Re: 11.51@115.6 N/A with Bolt Ons!!!
I will post the diet I put my car on later, as I don't have time this morning. I will tell you it still
looks nice on the inside.

Re: 11.51@115.6 N/A with Bolt Ons!!!
Let me start by saying, some people put heads and cams on their cars, NX, superchargers, or turbos. I chose to lighten the car as it was more of a challenge and was cheaper. As far as I am concerned anything goes and you "race what you brung". Now that the editorial is over, lets get down to the details. Surprise!!! Nothing I have done is not on the weight reduction list.
Curb weight with 3/8s tank of gas-3010lbs
Weld Draglites and SR165-15s up front
Weld Draglites with 26x11.5x15 QTP rear
Rear Bumper Support removed
Front Bumper Support removed
Front Swaybar, Swaybar Mounts and Endlinks removed
Power Steering removed
Electric Water Pump
AC System removed
Air Injection removed
EGR removed
Cruise Control removed
DynaBatt Dry Cell
High Beams and Headlight Bezels removed
Windshield Washer Tank removed
Windshield Wipers including motor and arms removed
Complete Airbox, Ducts, Heater Core, etc.(the whole works) removed
Hooker Shorty Headers
Cats removed
Custom Exhaust
PA K Member and A-Arms
HAL Front Shocks and Springs
HAL Rear Shocks
Radio and All Speakers removed
Power Antenna removed
Wiring For Rear Speakers/Antenna/Alarms System removed
T-Top Holder removed
Rear Hatch Divider removed
Spare Tire and Jack removed
Rear Seat and Seat Belts removed
LIghtweight Carpet Covering All Metal (Looks better than the original)
All Padding for Sound Control removed
Passenger Air Bag removed
Underdash Covers removed
Grant Steering Wheel with Air Bag System removed
Corbeau Forza Front Seats with Simpson Cam Lock Belts
Emergency Brake System
Sunvisors
Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft
Yank PT4400 Convertor
Exhaust Heat Shielding removed except up by headers
Front Nose Underbody Plastic removed
1/2 of Front Wheelwell Plastic removed
MTI Airbox Lid
Believe it or not I actually run with the front floor mats and T-Top shades on!!!
These things have added weight:
Metco Lower Control Arms and Relocation Brackets
Spohn Torque Arm
Kenny Brown Double D Subframe Connectors
Carbon Fiber Fuel Rail Covers
Stainless Steel Hose Overbraid
Rear Tailight Blackouts
Front Turnsignal Blackouts
Driving Light Blackouts
Now for the good part. From the outside, except for the wheels, tires, and lack of windshield wipers it looks completely stock. On the inside all holes are covered with custom panels painted the same color as the interior. All interior panels are still in place. All metal in the floor is civered with custom carpet. This car does not look gutted on the inside and I have received several comments on how good it looks both outside and inside. The car is light, no doubt, but I put it together so it would not look light or gutted. It just takes a little time and work to make things look good. I may have left some items off and will add them as I remember them. This has been a three year project and my memory is good for about 24 hours!!
Thanks.

Birdman, where do you live? I would love to look at your car. Man you've taken out a lot of stuff. Most of what you have taken out I would never do. But thats just me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I live just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana in a small town. I can email you some digital pictures if you would like to see under the hood and inside. Like I said before, it is very deceiving. Let me know.
